The Kumho Ecsta Sport S (PS72) is a max-performance summer tire for passenger cars. Kumho USA lists it in the Max Performance category as a max summer UHP tire for spirited drivers with high-performance vehicles, while the European catalog presents it as a premium tyre for drivers requiring ultimate driving dynamics. According to the manufacturer, the tire uses a new tread compound for traction, a distinctive siping layout for wet traction, a dynamic outside shoulder block design for cornering strength and stability, and a strengthened center-block design for stable driving. Kumho USA highlights sharp handling and traction in dry and wet conditions and good treadwear for the class. The model is EV compatible: the manufacturer states it suits electric, hybrid and combustion vehicles, and the European page notes K Silent noise-reducing technology where specified. In the US it is sold with a 30,000-mile limited treadwear warranty. Kumho unveiled the Ecsta Sport S PS72 at SEMA 2024 and planned North American availability by spring 2025. The US catalog lists 49 sizes for 18 to 22-inch wheels, all in extra-load XL construction with (Y) speed ratings; the German and French catalogs list the same 49 sizes plus six HL (high load) sizes for 20 and 21-inch wheels, with EU label grades for each size.
